Why blog?

Invalid Date (NaNy ago)

Since coming to college, I have been incredibly busy. A mix of school work, club activities, recruiting, side projects, exercise, etc. All that means that my day is filled.

I'm generally someone who loves to stay busy. I love always having something to do and a goal to work towards. Yet this means that I often forget to look back on my progress and relect the highlights (and lowlights) of my journey. I've noticed in the past that days pass by quick when I'm busy. The opportunity for reflection often fades away before I notice. Keeping a blog forces me to slow down and reflect.

I've also noticed that with LLMs, I find myself writing authentically much less. Although time-saving, I still feel that writing is a valuable skill, particularly for thinking.

To quote David McCullough, "Writing is thinking. To write well is to think clearly."

My blog is public to hold myself to consistent, clear writing, as well as to provide anyone reading these posts a possibly useful insight or new idea. But primarily, my blog is meant for myself, to encourage reflection and thoughtfulness.
